Zombie Police: Midsummer Unhappy New Year

A mismatched detective duo in a village frozen in midsummer

It's the height of summer, yet Shimofuri Village lies frozen as if in deep winter. A baffling case has unfolded during a VTuber's livestream, and on it are zombie detective Akemi Kabane and her junior partner Yasu Tamura, a die-hard cop-show fan.

Akemi bulldozes through the case with rule-breaking investigation, while Tamura pieces together the clues she turns up. They're an odd couple, but a perfect match. What truth awaits them this time...?

Estimated playtime: 5–7 hours (varies by play style).

Beyond questioning: dive into their minds

Investigate people and places to gather testimony. With Akemi's Zombie Dive, enter someone's mind, choose what to ask, and uncover what people really think, things ordinary questioning would never reveal. You can dive into objects and museum exhibits, too.

Connect clues in the Journal

Use Tamura's Journal to organize testimony and keywords. Choose clues to fill in the blanks and confirm how the events connect.

Spot contradictions and present evidence

Use what you have learned to find contradictions and present evidence as you close in on the truth.

A comedy mystery with an undying detective and a cop-show nerd

Akemi will take off her head, drink poison, or even reenact a crime with her own body to test a theory. Tamura can barely keep up with her unconventional methods. Their lively banter and colorful cast of characters are what make Zombie Police shine.

New to the series? No problem

This is the third game in the Zombie Police series, which began with Zombie Police: Christmas Dancing with Police Zombies. The story stands on its own, so you can jump right in here. If you've played our earlier titles, you'll spot even more connections along the way.
