Run a highway gas station with up to four friends. Pump the fuel by hand, stock the shelves, punch card payments into the register and try to keep the place from catching fire. A first-person co-op management sim about one very long shift.
The pumps are running dry, there's a queue at the register, the delivery truck just pulled in, and somebody is smoking next to a puddle of gasoline.
This is fine. This is the job.

Run the station alone or with up to four players in online co-op. There is genuinely enough work for everyone: fuel, shelves, orders, the register. There is also genuinely nothing stopping all four of you from doing the same job while everything else falls apart.
Drop in any time. Talk with proximity voice chat, so you can hear exactly who is panicking.
Pump three needs someone right now. The car in the way is a suggestion: slide over the hood.

Carry the nozzle to the car and hold it while the tank fills. Haul the crates off the truck and stock the shelves one box at a time. Read the bill, then punch the amount into the register keypad yourself. Charge too much and the customer will remember.
None of it is hard. All of it takes time. That's the whole trick.

Haul the boxes in and stock the shelves as fast as your hands allow. Every customer has a face, a car and an opinion, and they will post it. Fast service and full shelves build your reputation. A forty-minute queue and a puddle by the pumps build something else.

Spilled fuel stays on the ground. A cigarette nearby might light it. A fire at the base of a pump might take the pump with it, and the car next to it, and the one after that.
Grab an extinguisher. Call the tow truck. Pay for the repairs. Tell the others it wasn't you.

It goes dark. The pumps stop. The queue doesn't.
Your generator burns the same fuel you were about to sell, so every minute the lights are on is money going the wrong way. Solar panels don't care about the grid, which is a lesson most players learn the expensive way.

More pumps. Bigger tanks. Charging bays for electric cars. Every upgrade you buy physically appears on the forecourt, and more traffic follows it in.
You wanted a bigger station. Now you have a bigger station.

Bring friends. Or don't, but bring friends.
