Unsolved Stories

About Unsolved StoriesWelcome to Unsolved Stories, an immersive open-world experience that brings the soul of Chicago to life with next-generation fidelity. Chicago is more than just a backdrop; it is a living, breathing tapestry of history, architecture, and atmosphere. We invite you to experience the full spectrum of the city—from the towering, sun-drenched skyscrapers of the waterfront to the raw, rhythmic pulse of the diverse urban neighborhoods.A Living Film Set Think of the Unsolved Stories map as a vast, living film set. While we provide you with a sprawling canvas of exploration, we also offer curated scenarios and narratives that bring our world to life. In each new episode, you will encounter unique characters with their own stories, all unfolding within a meticulously detailed environment. Our goal is to balance the grandeur of the city with the intimate, personal moments of its inhabitants. The Art of Detail For us, realism is a commitment. Every object in our world—from the smallest street lamp to the sprawling skyline—has been individually crafted by our dedicated graphics team. We haven't just built a city; we have sculpted a world where every meter tells a story. Whether you are exploring the bustling energy of a crowded plaza or finding peace in a quiet, deserted alley, every corner is designed to feel authentic and intentional. An Evolution of Vision The journey of Unsolved Stories is a story of constant growth. Having evolved through the foundational power of Unreal Engine 3 and 4, we have now embraced Unreal Engine 5.8. This transition has allowed us to push the boundaries of lighting, detail, and performance, creating a visual feast that captures every subtle nuance of the Chicago atmosphere. The Journey Ahead Our first major chapter of the Chicago journey is nearing completion. With the foundation laid and the "big picture" established, our focus is now shifting to the heart of the experience: the Gameplay Systems. We are refining every mechanic—from how you move and interact with the world to how you earn your place within it.Unsolved Stories is a project in constant motion. We are building a world that doesn't just sit there to be looked at; it lives, breathes, and waits for you to step into its story.
