Taisho Romance Theater

► A tale of the uncanny, where magic, love, and blood ties intertwine in the depths of winter during the Taishō era.

After losing his memory in an accident, the actor Kotori Sakuma travels to Tokyo with his theater troupe to prepare for the premiere of a new play.

But a certain phrase from his lips turns out to hold an eerie power, and the world's hidden face now unveils its secrets to Kotori.

Before Kotori can delve into his own shrouded past, the bizarre death of a close friend plunges him into a maelstrom of murder and suspicion.

His tranquil life irrevocably shattered, Kotori embarks on a desperate pursuit of the truth, as the specters of the past shadow his steps. Are the unbreakable bonds of blood destiny, or a curse?

On the eve of Valentine's Day, 1921, you are cordially invited to join Kotori Sakuma in a labyrinth of vast conspiracies and lost memories.

► That sacred force which dictates our every step — some call it "destiny", and to others, it is "the self".

"The future you paint is a tempting one… But I won't make the wrong choice a second time."

• The protagonist, and lead actor of the Emerald Eye Troupe. The story unfolds from his first-person perspective.

• He lost most of his memories a year ago. While he seems to be adapting well to the loss, the past won't let him go quite so easily.

"Sometimes I find myself thinking… If only I'd had you with me back then. But well, only sometimes."

• The other star of the Emerald Eye Troupe, Hatsuyuki is the leading lady of this story, and possibly the fastest-to-die heroine in the history of visual novels.

"All… All I want is to make everyone happy…"

"My dear brother, what a foolish question. If I didn't act like this, or think this way, how would I ever survive?"

• Kotori's younger sister. A girl of few words, always wearing an aloof expression.

• There doesn't seem to be any conflict between the siblings, but something about her chills Kotori to his very bones…

"…You believe that you can cast off this tainted bloodline, don't you, my child?"

• Despite the constant smile on his lips, he seems to have some troubled history with Kotori.
