You wake inside an unfinished comic, with paper underfoot and ink lines all around. Trace outlines by hand in your sketchbook to create tools and weapons. Every stroke costs ink, and your accuracy matters.

There is no crafting menu. You open your sketchbook, and on the page are grey guide lines in the shape
of an axe. You trace them by hand. And then you are holding an axe.
Nothing snaps your line onto the guide. That part is you, and the page can tell how well you did.
One resource, and it is inside all of it. Every stroke drinks it. Every glyph. Every obelisk costs a
lot. Enemies splash ink when you land a hit. At night it rains ink, which tops you up and chills you at
the same time.
Explore a fixed-size world, gather materials and build shelter while managing hunger, thirst and warmth. A giant eraser occasionally sweeps across the page, temporarily erasing natural features that later regrow. The world does not permanently shrink. Obelisks create safe zones.
Hunger, thirst and warmth drain the whole time. Your tools crack, then break. The Unfinished come out
after dark, and nobody coloured them in. Build a shelter that holds, or draw yourself a bed and sleep
through it.
Choose your weapon tier before tracing. Rare weapons require 10 times the materials and deal 1.5 times the damage; Legendary weapons require 50 times the materials and deal twice the damage. Both use the normal drawing ink cost and demand greater precision.
Choose from six paper-and-ink player characters, three women and three men, and meet the merchant on the page.

You traced a blueprint, and the thing you drew is really in your hand.

Send your first creature back into the inkwell.

Survive your first night on the page.

Finish the opening chapter.

Re-ink your first obelisk. Another anchor on the page.

Open your first lucky chest.

Draw a bonfire and set it down. The camp's fire does not count.

Your ink ran out. It happens to everybody. Now redraw yourself.
