Crown of Hispania

Early Access Demo is Available! You can play as Castilla for 10 years.

Development Roadmap for 2026.

Rewrite the Reconquista in a grand strategy game where population, religion, and war evolve dynamically based on your decisions.

Will you become a legendary ruler, or will you be rejected by those forgotten by history?

"Inspired by Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV, but with deeper population simulation and dynamic systems."

-Trustable Person (me)

Why this game is DIFFERENT :

• Fully simulated population: Every character, culture, and religion exists as a living population that grows, migrates, and reacts dynamically to your decisions.

• Free army movement: Move armies freely across the map without province restrictions, enabling realistic strategies, flanking, and positioning.

• Clever AI: The AI is designed to be challenging rather than passive, forcing the player to deal with difficult situations.

• Dynamic battles: Unique engagement system, making battles more realistic and immersive.

• Cooler: I have no idea if you will read all of this so just wishlist the game because it's really cool.

The History Behind the Game

Crown of Hispania is a grand strategy game set in the turbulent 11th-century Iberian Peninsula. You’ll start in 1035 AD, after the death of Sancho III of Navarre, with the region split between rival Christian kingdoms in the north and fragmented Muslim taifas in the south.

I'm not going to lie, it was a bit of a weird time, but hey, “Violence is sometimes THE solution” (an actual quote from a museum historian in France). So I guess it's cool.👍

As a noble of this tumultuous era, you'll have to write your own legend. Every decision, whether made on the battlefield, in the council chambers or in the shadows of a conspiracy, will shape your dynasty and determine your place in history. Will you consolidate your authority over your lands, or let your vassals tear each other apart for power? Will you take back Toledo and Granada for Christianity, or negotiate a fragile coexistence with your Muslim neighbors?

What You Actually Do

• Stare at the Map for hours: The most important aspect of a grand strategy game is to make you lose as much time as possible reenacting history and LARPing.

• Expand your realm through war or diplomacy: Conquer territories through strategic warfare or secure your dominance with alliances, marriages, and political maneuvering.

• Manage populations and religious tensions: Balance cultures and faiths within your realm as populations evolve, convert, and react to your rule... stability is never guaranteed.

• Grow your country’s economy: Develop your lands through construction, increase trade value, and enact powerful decrees to strengthen your economy and sustain your expansion.

• Shape history through dynamic events:Experience a world that evolves based on your decisions, where no campaign unfolds the same way twice.

• Manage your court and receive missions from your Council: Oversee your court, navigate internal politics, and complete missions assigned by your Council to secure influence and guide your realm’s future.

"PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, do not sacrifice the core historical trends of the era for the wacky alt-history options. I have seen it too often in other games, please take steps to keep the general course of history intact and make breaking it actually a challenge."
