Meifu Kanshiki-Ka: The Underworld Forensics Division

You're dead. Now you're the Underworld's forensic examiner.

Kagari Shūji, a police sketch artist, dies at 4:44 a.m. at a crossing someone lured him to by phone. On the banks of the Sanzu River, Shimei — scribe to the Great King Enma — offers him a job: the dead arrive with their memories shattered into grids of ink, and without memories, there can be no trial.

Eight cases that look unrelated: a man boiled in his own bathhouse, a karaoke death at a perfect 100 points, a packed 7:44 train, an idol handshake event, a funeral held for a living man… Every victim died at ":44". Every one of them is tied to a murder at the Minazuki Library twelve years ago. And someone in the land of the living is always one step ahead.

The ultimate Picross detective RPG

• 123 hand-drawn nonograms — every one solvable by pure logic, no guessing.

• Color Picross — clues come in ink colors; switch pens on the fly.

• Lying Picross (偽) — one clue is false. Find it. Accuse it.

• Mega-memories — giant crime-scene murals (up to 30×20) built from pieces. Finish them, then point out what doesn't belong.

• Deduction Picross — once the picture appears, you're asked what it proves.

• Mirror boards, shaped boards and other nasty tricks.

• Duels — Inspector Gōda solves the same puzzle at the same time. Every line you finish splatters him with ink.

• Interrogations against the clock — crack the suspect before the cigarette burns out.

• Blind Picross (盲) — the witness only remembers what they looked at: clues only appear under your magnifying glass.

A real detective story

• 8 connected cases with a central mystery, twists and mid-dialogue deductions.

• An interactive corkboard: before every trial, connect the evidence with red thread.

• Trials before King Enma: present the memory that disproves each lie, then fight the culprit's dark heart.

• Sepia dreams from the land of the living… and a shadow that always arrives early.

• Multiple endings — plus a true ending for those who find all 7 traces of the 4:44 Man… and a secret one where you judge Enma.

Hell has extras

• Hell's karaoke — a rhythm minigame with King Enma as the judge. Score 100.

• Gōda Mode — the inspector solves, you sabotage him with ink.

• Enma's Exam — 10 drawings against the clock, with a record table.

• Gallery of absurd deaths — 25 ridiculous ways to arrive in the Afterlife.

• Phone calls at 4:44 — play at 4:44 on your computer's clock… and the phone rings.

• Hungover Enma — the six dark hearts back to back while the King of Hell hiccups: clue colors swim, the courtroom sways, and his scribe slips you answers under the table.

• The man who died in the demo — played the demo? Someone is still waiting in the corridor…

• Kushō comments on your mistakes live from your shoulder — and remembers how long you've been away.

RPG and exploration

Explore the memories of the dead, question ghostly witnesses, fight false-testimony spirits in Picross battles (every correct cell deals damage, every completed line is a combo), level up, learn forensic techniques and shop at old Datsue-ba's stall.

Gekiga style, manga voices

Hand-drawn in a dramatic gekiga style, with synthesized manga voices for every character, crowd "zawa… zawa…" and a narrator straight out of a gambling manga.
