Cube Sweeper: 3D Minesweeper

At first glance it is Minesweeper, and it wants you to think so. The same flags, the same numbers, the same clean logic, now wrapped onto a three-dimensional solid. Then the board turns, and a clue reaches around a corner to a tile you could not see, and you realize the game you mastered decades ago has rules it never could in two dimensions. Deceptively familiar. Challenging in ways the flat grid cannot be.

Read the whole solid

The numbers sit on the faces of a solid object, not a flat grid. A tile's neighbors can be around a corner, over an edge, or through a tunnel bored into the shape, so you rotate and zoom the board to hold the whole structure in your head before you commit. Reading a solid is a genuine skill, and it is one classic Minesweeper never demanded. When you are not sure what a tile touches, hold Ctrl and right-click it: an outline appears around every neighbor it has, over every edge and through every tunnel, and it stays put while you turn the board.

Really? Another Minesweeper?

Yes, and here is the tell, for anyone who knows the game cold: on a flat grid a tile touches at most eight others. Fold the board into a solid and that ceiling breaks. Across an edge, around a corner, or through a tunnel, a single face can border more than eight neighbors at once, so a 9 is not only possible, it is real, and solving one gets its own achievement. More adjacency means more constraints, more deductions, more brain twisters beyond the flat grid. If you have solved every pattern the old game had, this is where it stops being the old game.

No guessing.

The category's oldest insult is the 50/50: the board that forces you to flip a coin and calls it your fault when you lose. Cube Sweeper never does this. Every board is certified solvable by pure logic, every mine and every hidden gem. When you lose, it is because you missed something, and you will know exactly what. Your skill is the only variable. That is the respect a serious puzzle owes you.

No undo. Mistakes count.

There is no undo, and that is deliberate. A game where you can walk back every wrong step is not testing anything. Here your reading has to be right the first time, and a mistake is real. It is also never random: because the board is always solvable, every loss is a lesson you can name and a board you can play again from the start. For a deeper test, Expedition mode lets the gems you recover become Lifelines, earned protection that absorbs a single mine hit. You are given tools, never a safety rail.

The climb to Expert

Four tiers scale the shape and the difficulty, not just the size, from a small clean board to a dense Expert solid whose folds and tunnels produce the hardest reading in the game. Expert is the summit, and it is a real one: its own developer lost many Expert boards before winning a single one. Three modes let you choose your challenge: Classic for the pure sweep, Gem hunt to deduce and dig for hidden gems, Expedition for the deepest mix of both. Every mode is open at every tier from the first click.

Key features

• Minesweeper in three dimensions, read across faces, around corners, and through tunnels

• A certified no-guess guarantee: every mine and every gem yields to pure logic

• Real difficulty across four tiers, up to an Expert summit its own developer lost many times before winning

• Three modes (Classic, Gem hunt, Expedition), all open at every tier

• A second deduction layer: read the clues, dig out hidden gems, a mechanic no other sweeper has

• A new board every day with streaks, precise times, and per-tier best times to chase

• Board codes to hand a rival the exact board you played and dare them to beat your time

• Custom boards: dial the size, carving, mine density, and gems, then share any board as a code

• A 25-chapter Learning Journey that is the tutorial, tips & tricks, and manual in one

• 24 achievements, from "Leave No Gem Behind" to "The Hurt Lockerer", including one nobody should ever earn: "The Impossible Made Unlikely"

A new board, forever

This is not a fixed set of levels you finish and shelve. Every generated board is fresh and certified fair, the daily resets every day, and the boards you build are yours to keep and share. Handcrafted, named boards sit alongside the generated ones when you want a designed challenge. You will not run out.

It teaches you to see

Twenty-five hands-on chapters take you from your first click to reading whole solids, one real board per idea. The final part is a strategy guide you can play: the 1-2-1 and the rest of the classic pattern canon, taught flat and then bent over an edge. Ask for a hint and it shows you a move that can be proven, and leaves the clicking to you. It sharpens your reading; it never plays for you.

Cube Sweeper is actively supported after launch. Every board is fair, every board is solvable, and there is always a harder one waiting.
