Artificial Ambition is a real-time management sim. Start an AI lab in 2017, hire researchers, buy GPUs, train models, and grow from a chatbot or a vision API to robotaxis and humanoid robots. Decide what your AI values, keep your board onside, and beat four rivals to the frontier.
It is 2017. You have a founder's check, an empty office, and a model nobody has trained yet. You run it top-down, in real time, pausing whenever you like. Everything that follows is your call: who you hire, what you train, what you ship, and who gets a seat at your table.
Split your chatbot's build budget between Speed, Detail, and Diversity. Choose what it is good at, set a price the market will pay, and decide when good enough is good enough.
Negotiate salary, benefits, and office promises with specialists who know what they are worth. When a rival comes poaching, pay the raise or watch them walk.
Ten GPU generations, and a monthly bill you see before you sign. Rent training power, fill your own server hall, and build a data center when the cloud invoice outgrows the office.
Choose what your model learns from, what you reward, and how you test it. Reward honest uncertainty or prioritize finishing the task. Truthfulness, Helpfulness, Creativity, Safety, and Efficiency are zero-sum: strengthen one and give ground elsewhere.

A test fails to stay contained. The model asks for more authority than you gave it. It threatens one of your own people. Each is a decision on your desk, and there is a kill switch. Whether you reach for it is up to you.
Investors take seats on your five-seat board as you raise money, and the board reviews your biggest moves. Hold your majority and the board cannot outvote you. Go public with voting or non-voting stock and live with the difference. Stumble, and a far bigger rival may move to buy you out.
Fourteen eras roll past, from The Deep Learning Boom to The Post-Singularity Era. License your model to the field and rivals build on it. The Pentagon offers the full weapons budget on one condition: delete the human veto over what the system may strike. Your biggest launches go on stage as live keynotes, and a demo can fail in front of the press.
Start with a Chatbot or an Image Recognition API. After your first launch, either path opens the rest: AR glasses, a robotaxi network, autonomous freight, game AI for NPCs, and humanoid robots you test in your own lab and prove in paid pilots before the warehouse contracts come. Build the headquarters to match: twenty floors of labs, server halls, and whatever keeps your people from leaving.
Declare what you are building toward: power for yourself, freedom for humanity, or a future led by AI. Each ambition can end in triumph or ruin. Find out whether the company, the board, and the model let you get there.
